Administrative Support for Public Welfare

One of the biggest challenges faced by human services agencies today is to be able to provide adequate support for agency operations while attaining and maintaining a necessary level of compliance with numerous regulatory and other mandatory requirements, which are highly complex in their combination. Additional complexity is introduced by (actual or perceived) insufficiency of resources and growing demands for the delivery of quality, appropriate, and timely services.

Public welfare agencies, in general, and human services agencies, in particular, traditionally favor case-level activities viewing them as an opportunity to provide direct assistance to those in need. Because of this focus rooted in compassion and caring, administrative functions and responsibilities often acquire less structured and systematic attention than they actually require. Nevertheless, without a solid foundation of administrative supports other areas of a public welfare agency suffer numerous deficiencies that reduce potential effectiveness of case-level, episode-level, and encounter-level efforts.

ACA assists its public welfare customers in establishing and maintaining administrative supports and in performing administrative functions to make successful program, care, and fiscal management. By delivering traditional consulting and technical assistance services or by implementing its go to 'In-Source Model' in-sourcing model ACA enhances operations of public welfare participants in such areas as:

One of the biggest challenges faced by human services agencies today is to be able to provide adequate support for agency operations.
  • Information management;

Services and products offered by ACA address jointly or separately administrative management tasks listed above. As a part of innovative solutions, these products and services focus on affording ACA customers the ability to maintain strong focus on the areas of their competence while divesting to ACA those functions that are not cost-effective when performed in-house. Enhanced administrative management assists ACA customers in addressing various needs, whether common to the public welfare industry or specific to the agency.
