ACA presented on health IT and grant opportunities during the Pennsylvania Community Providers Association (PCPA) CFO Work Group's December meeting. ACA's Howard Weitz described the ability of electronic health records (EHR) systems to alleviate challenges in providing behavioral healthcare, and he explained grants and incentives available in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) for providers. Weitz gave suggestions for selecting and planning for EHR systems and applying for health IT grants. Two other guest speakers presented about stimulus funds and health IT systems.
