One of the key concerns of any public welfare agency is to pay providers accurately and on time. MASTRR™ Solutions provides a group of modules that help agencies manage the entire claims and invoice cycle from the initial report of the claim through posting and creating vouchers for payment.

The MASTRR™ Solutions Manual Claims Entry module ensures accountability and accuracy in manual claims entry. It allows the user to batch claims and to verify the contents of the electronic batch against the information reported on paper.

After users enter data or receive it electronically, the MASTRR™ Solutions Claims Maintenance module supports the remainder of the claims and invoice cycle. The module supports a sequence of steps that include pre-adjudication testing, adjudication, pending (for example, for COB), manual acceptance/rejection, and posting. At the completion of this cycle, the agency can create vouchers for provider payment, or the module can generate custom electronic vouchers that the agency can import into its financial application software.

HIPAA-standardized transactions and code sets have introduced the need for agencies to accept transactions from providers in a standard electronic format. MASTRR™ Solutions has kept pace with these changes through developing the HIPAA EDI Claims Processing module. This module allows the agency to accept and parse transaction files from its providers in the mandated 837 format and upload them into its database. Once uploaded, the claims may then be processed using the same functions that are used to test, adjudicate, and manually post entered claims.

The combination of features provided by these modules equips the public welfare agency with all of the tools required to manage the claims payment process efficiently and accurately.
