The ever-changing environment of the public welfare industry and its numerous funding authorities make regulatory compliance and reporting a complicated and demanding task. Various regulatory and funding agencies often require reports and data submissions that are not easily generated by public welfare data systems. ACA’s Data Service Bureau model is designed to assist organizations in navigating the intricate landscape of regulatory compliance and reporting.

ACA’s Data Service Bureau model requires no up-front investment from counties and can be utilized on a pay-per-use basis. Any organization can use it, regardless of the technology and internal systems used to collect their data.

The Data Service Bureau allows our customers to have control over how they collect and store their raw data, and it provides extensive validation and cross-referencing of that data. Once the data has been examined, the Data Service Bureau facilitates compliance with regulatory guidelines, and it enables seamless information exchange with other agencies by utilizing the validated and cross-referenced raw data to generate the necessary reports and data submissions.

For example, in the case of CCR submissions, the Data Service Bureau allows counties to submit data to the Department of Public Welfare (DPW) correctly the first time, while eliminating the need for county employees to navigate the technical complexities of generating 837 transactions and interpreting PROMISe™ edits put forth by Pennsylvania.

Since our customers no longer need to expend their resources on modifying internal systems to accommodate formatting changes with regulatory submissions, they are able to use these resources for their true business purpose: providing public welfare services.

ACA is proactively involved with understanding potential regulatory submission changes, especially in the area of public welfare in Pennsylvania, and we are typically able to address these changes without requiring any involvement from our customers.

ACA has an extensive history of submitting complete and accurate data to various regulatory entities, including CCR data to DPW. Because of the robustness of our internal data service bureau process, we identify potential problems and then assist our customers in correcting these issues before the data is submitted to the receiving organization. Through this process we maintain an exceptionally low error percentage rate and help keep our customers in good standing with the regulatory entities to which they report.

When utilizing ACA’s Data Service Bureau, our customers can achieve compliance while still preserving the integrity of their existing systems and procedures. This causes the least disruption to their daily operations while still addressing their needs within the complex, multi-tiered public welfare structure.
